What's this all about?

WhatsMyDNS came about due to me going here and there to customer’s sites only to find out that these businesses, more often than not, didn’t have a clue what their ISPs DNS servers addresses are. I figured that I couldn't be the first person to experience these frustrations so decided that creating some kind of online repository of ISPs DNS servers would if nothing else, help me.

This is my first experience with creating a website with PHP, MySQL or pretty much any form of coding. So what you'll find here is pretty basic and probably quite dirty, code-wise. As such, if anyone out there has any advice on making the site more functional, secure or just general feedback then please by all means drop me a line via the contact page.

CheckDNS - Checks all the DNS servers and runs a whole bunch of tests for validity as well as some mailserver checks.

WhatsmyIP - Not anything to do with my site but a quick easy way to find out what IP you are accessing the internet from. Useful.
